What is FLUCARD® ULTRA?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA is a SD card with WIFI transmission capabilities. Beside storage capability, it has the ability to allow other WIFI devices and cameras (equipped with FLUCARD® ULTRA) to access, share files among SD hosts devices and upload contents directly to smart cloud.

Question:

How do I activate FLUCARD® ULTRA functions?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA functions can be activated by i) using WRITE PROTECT (camera function) and UNWRITE PROTECT (camera function) over Control images, namely Settings & Review and Server Upload.

Question:

Is FLUCARD® ULTRA compatible with my camera?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA is tested compatible with many of today’s popular cameras. Please refer to the compatibility list for more information.

Question:

Why are my control images not refreshed after restarting my camera?

Answer:

Please reinsert FLUCARD® ULTRA into the camera and restart the camera.

Question:

Can I access the contents of my FLUCARD® ULTRA if my PC is using a wired network connection?

Answer:

Yes. you can do so by:
1. Using an external WIFI dongle.

Question:

Does my FLUCARD® ULTRA work only with cameras?

Answer:

The FLUCARD® ULTRA is designed to work with most cameras, video cameras, digital photo frames and all SD hosts devices. The FLUCARD® ULTRA will replace your SD card while offering you the ability to transfer photos and videos wirelessly from your camera. Please email us at support@trek2000.com.sg if the FLUCARD® does not work with your camera.

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA works with iOS, Mac OS, Windows, Android OS and BlackBerry OS.

What are the available storage capacities of the FLUCARD® ULTRA?

Answer:

The 16GB and 32GB models are available.

Question:

What is the SD class of FLUCARD® ULTRA?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA supports SDHC Class 10.

Question:

How many connections can I establish with the FLUCARD® ULTRA?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA is able to connect with up to 5 wireless devices.

Question:

Is the WIFI transmission secure?

Answer:

Yes. FLUCARD® ULTRA’s transmission supports WEP 64/128, WPA/WPA2 encryptions.

Question:

Does FLUCARD® ULTRA work in environments with a lot of WIFI signals?

Answer:

Yes, FLUCARD® ULTRA still works in such an environment. You can also change the WIFI channel number (from 1 to 11, default is channel 6) if the particular channel is congested.

Question:

Why does the FLUCARD® become warm after usage?

Answer:

This is the inherent problem of WIFI but it will not result in overheating and cause damages to your camera.

Does FLUCARD® ULTRA reduce the number of photos or videos I can take with my camera?

Answer:

FLUCARD® ULTRA works exactly like an SD card and more.

Question:

Which server upload protocols are supported?

Answer:

HTTP protocol, Gallery 3 remote protocol (HTTP based) and FTP protocol are supported.

Question:

I formatted my FLUCARD® ULTRA with my camera and restarted my camera subsequently. The control images were not restored. Why?

Answer:

After formatting FLUCARD® ULTRA, FLUCARD® ULTRA will restore the control images, during which a beeping tone will be played. Please restart the camera only after the beeping tone has ended (around 30 seconds).

Question:

Can I use FLUCARD® ULTRA with compact flash adaptor?

Answer:

We do not encourage the use of FLUCARD® ULTRA with compact flash adaptor.

Question:

The control images are not visible at some Nikon DSLR cameras, such as D90, D800 and D5000. How do I make the control images visible at these cameras?

Answer:

At factory default settings, these cameras do not play back the control images under 123_TREK folder. The only photos played back are under "Current" folder where the camera stores new photos. Please refer to the user manual of your camera and set "Playback Folder" to "All" to enable playback of photos under all the folders.

Question:

I can see WIFI SSID only for a short while for Nikon DSLR cameras, such as D90, D800 and D5000. The WIFI got cut off after a very short time, how can I overcome this limitation?

Answer:

At factory default settings, these cameras cut off supply of power to SD card when the monitor is off, therefore limiting the time the WIFI is active. Please refer to your camera manual, go to "Custom Settings Menu" of your camera and increase the "Monitor off delay" to the maximum.
